Car crashes into Marlborough home, no injuries reported

A man in Marlborough is facing charges after crashing his car into a home on Ash Street, causing a refrigerator to be thrown into the yard. The incident occurred on Tuesday night, and fortunately, no one was injured.
According to authorities, Elcid Silva was driving the vehicle when it crashed through the kitchen area of the house.
Silva has been charged with operating to endanger and cited for speeding and marked-lanes violation. Marlborough police spokesman Sgt. Zachary Attaway said in an email that Silva may have been experiencing a diabetes-related medical emergency at the time of the crash.
The woman living at the house where Silva's car crashed into her kitchen was not hurt but displaced along with her cat. A neighboring backyard also suffered damage as Silva's car careened into it before settling on a two-tier stone wall.
Authorities are still investigating what caused this accident and whether any other factors contributed to its occurrence beyond just driver error or medical emergencies like those experienced by Mr.Silva during his drive down Ash Street last Tuesday evening.
