Driver Found Unresponsive After Car Crashes into Oakland Home

According to the Oakland Police Department, a car crashed into a home in the early hours of Friday morning and the driver was found unresponsive. The incident took place on Santa Rita Street at around 4:15 am.

Upon arrival, police officers located the vehicle that had collided with the residence. They discovered an unresponsive driver inside but were able to safely remove them from the vehicle with assistance from personnel from both OPD and Oakland Fire Department.

Further investigation revealed that the car involved in this accident was stolen. As such, law enforcement officials took custody of the driver who remains unidentified at this time.

It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in causing this crash as investigations are still ongoing according to Oakland PD.
