Car Crashes into Pocatello Police Motorcycle

A police officer in Pocatello, Idaho narrowly escaped injury when a car crashed into his police motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. as the officer responded to a peculiar situation on Interstate 15.

According to the police, the officer had noticed a children's plastic swimming pool obstructing the northbound lanes of the freeway near the Clark Street exit. He parked his motorcycle and began removing the pool on foot when suddenly, a car traveling northbound collided with his motorcycle.

Both vehicles suffered significant damage from the collision. The adult male driver of the car sustained injuries as a result of the crash. However, authorities have not released any information regarding his identity or current condition. He was promptly transported to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment via an ambulance from Pocatello Fire Department.

The accident caused partial blockage of I-15's northbound lanes for approximately half an hour before it could be cleared away completely.
