Car Crashes into Restaurant, Injuring Multiple Patrons

Several patrons injured, significant damage to the building
A car crashed into a busy restaurant in Laconia, New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon, causing injuries to several patrons. The incident occurred at the Looney Bin Bar & Grill around 12:40 p.m., according to emergency officials.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered that the vehicle had collided with the interior of the restaurant. The Laconia Fire Department released a statement confirming that emergency responders provided immediate treatment to multiple customers and subsequently transported 14 individuals to nearby hospitals for non-life-threatening medical issues. These injuries included significant lower leg injuries, lacerations, and contusions.
Additionally, approximately 20 other people were evaluated by emergency personnel at the scene but did not require hospitalization. The community is located about 27 miles north of Concord on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Laconia Fire Capt. Chad Vaillancourt commented on the incident stating, "There were a lot of people inside due to it being lunchtime and a holiday weekend."
The building itself sustained substantial damage as a result of the crash. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of this unfortunate accident.
