Man and woman hospitalized in critical condition, semi driver not hurt
A car and a semi-truck collided in north Wichita on Thursday morning, leaving a man and woman critically injured. The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and 33rd Street North.
According to Sgt. David Inkelaar from the Wichita Police Department, the passenger car was traveling southbound while the semi-truck was pulling out onto Broadway. As a result of the collision, both occupants of the car sustained critical injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, the driver of the semi-truck escaped unharmed. Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash to determine its cause and any contributing factors.
