Car Veers off Dead End and Falls Over Sanchez Street Stairs

According to the San Francisco Fire Department, a car veered off a dead end and fell over the Sanchez Street Stairs in San Francisco on Saturday evening. The incident occurred around 7:18 p.m. when witnesses reported that the driver had veered off the dead end at Cumberland Street before landing at 19th and Sanchez streets.
The San Francisco Fire Department and officers from the San Francisco Police Department quickly responded to the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash. However, upon arrival, fire crews discovered that all occupants of the vehicle had fled.
The car came to rest on its top. To remove it from its position, a tow truck was brought in.
Authorities are now seeking more information about this incident and have urged anyone with knowledge to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip anonymously to TIP411.
