Pedestrian taken to hospital with serious injuries, driver uninjured
A car versus pedestrian crash occurred on Main Street and Union Street in Bangor, causing traffic delays and detours, according to the Bangor Fire Department. The incident was reported around 12:20 p.m., with a vehicle hitting a 35-year old male pedestrian who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Witnesses stated that a car turning left from Main St onto Union failed to see the pedestrian on the sidewalk as they made the turn and struck him. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured but their car sustained damages.
