Cement Truck Accident in Lodgepole: No Injuries Reported

Driver escaped injury, truck spilled its load of wet cement
A cement truck veered off the road near Lodgepole on Monday morning, resulting in a spillage of its contents. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape unharmed from the incident. The accident occurred at approximately 9:32 a.m. on July 10th when Cassandra Moul, a resident of Sidney, was operating a 2017 Kenworth cement truck traveling westbound along Highway 30.
According to the accident report, Moul informed Sheriff's deputies that "something sucked her off the highway to the right," leading to her vehicle leaving the road about half a mile west of Cheyenne County Road 147. After briefly returning onto the road and swerving back and forth, the truck ultimately overturned and slid into the north barrow ditch before coming to rest.
As a result of this mishap, wet cement spilled out from the truck into the nearby ditch. Despite this significant inconvenience and mess caused by the incident, no citation was issued in relation to it.
The exact cause behind what led Moul's vehicle off course remains unclear at this time. However, authorities are likely investigating further in order to determine any contributing factors or potential hazards that may have played a role in causing this unusual occurrence.
Fortunately for all parties involved, including other motorists who could have been affected by such an event during their commute along Highway 30 near Lodgepole that day; there were no reported injuries stemming from this incident involving Moul's cement truck.
