Interstate 670 in downtown Kansas City has been closed in both directions following a serious crash involving a cement truck and at least one other vehicle. The collision occurred at approximately 5:46 a.m., according to police.
The wreckage caught fire, but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames. While there are injuries reported, no details have been provided about how many people are hurt or the extent of their injuries.
As a result of the crash, I-670 was backed up in both directions.
