Captain Jason Ware Dies in Auto Accident in West Point, Virginia

Chesterfield County Fire & EMS is mourning the loss of one of their own after a tragic crash on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. when Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Lewis B. Puller Memorial Highway in King and Queen County.
According to troopers, the crash involved two vehicles that collided head-on in the westbound lane of Route 33. Sadly, Captain Jason Ware, aged 46, lost his life in the accident. Chesterfield Fire & EMS confirmed this devastating news later in the afternoon.
In an official statement, Chief Edward L. Senter Jr., expressed his sorrow over Captain Ware's untimely demise: "Chesterfield Fire and EMS (CFEMS) is saddened to report the death of Captain Jason Ware, who was assigned to Engine 201 'A' Shift at the Chester Fire Station." He further explained that Captain Ware was en route to work when he tragically lost his life near West Point, Virginia.
Captain Jason Ware had been serving as part of Chesterfield County Fire & EMS for an impressive twenty years and was stationed at the Chester Fire Station throughout his career. Chief Senter Jr., speaking on behalf of CFEMS, conveyed heartfelt condolences: "We are heartbroken by this sudden loss and express our sincere condolences to Captain Ware’s family, including his wife and two daughters."
