A young child has tragically lost their life following a car crash in Bainbridge, Georgia on Thursday morning. According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), they received a call at approximately 5:50 am reporting that a passenger bus had collided with a car.
Upon arriving at the scene, investigators found that the car had been hit on Highway 27 and Bethel Road before veering off the road. The GSP confirmed that there were two people inside the vehicle - a mother and her child. While the mother sustained non-life-threatening injuries, her child was taken to hospital but later passed away.
The identity of the deceased child is yet to be released by authorities. It's worth noting that no one aboard the bus suffered any injuries during this incident.
