The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the collision near Washington Boulevard and Toberman Street at approximately 5:08 p.m. According to authorities, an SUV carrying the child crashed into a stationary container and potentially another vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers transported the child to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. The second victim is reportedly in stable condition. It remains unclear whether there were any additional victims involved in the incident as details are limited.
The identities of both victims have not yet been released by authorities, nor have their ages been disclosed. LAPD officers are currently interviewing witnesses in the area for more information regarding what led up to this tragic event.
