Collision Involving Concrete Truck and Pickup Trucks Stops Traffic in Lee County

A collision involving a concrete truck and two pickup trucks has brought traffic to a standstill in Lee County. The incident occurred around 3:05 p.m., resulting in the closure of both eastbound and westbound lanes on Highway 32.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and firefighters have been dispatched to the scene, according to local deputies. Fortunately, early reports from the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) indicate that there have been no fatalities as a result of the crash.
It appears the driver of the white truck pulled out in front of the cement truck. The driver was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Authorities from the Lee County Sheriff's Office are urging drivers to avoid the area near Highway 32 and Lovers Lane Road due to ongoing road closures. As a result of this incident, traffic on the east side of Highway 32 is at a standstill, causing delays for several school buses transporting children home.
The Georgia State Patrol will be leading further investigations into this collision following their initial response.
