Colorado Woman Dies in Single Vehicle Accident in Kimball County

Driver pronounced deceased, passenger sustained minor injuries
A tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on July 10, resulting in the death of a Colorado woman and minor injuries to a 16-year-old passenger. The incident took place at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Kimball County Road 52, about four miles west of Highway 71.
Nebraska State Patrol troopers swiftly responded to a report of the crash and arrived at the scene to find a Ford Explorer overturned on its roof. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Erin Dixon, a 51-year-old resident of Deer Trail, Colorado. Sadly, Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sole passenger in the car, an unidentified 16-year-old individual, sustained minor injuries and was promptly transported to Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff for medical attention.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. Further details regarding what led up to the accident have not been released at this time.
