Construction Water Truck Accident in Grand Junction

Just after 3 a.m. this morning, a construction water truck lost control and rolled over, blocking all lanes of traffic at the intersection of 25 Rd and Riverside Parkway.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the accident. The driver of the truck was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine further details surrounding the cause of the rollover.
"We are currently looking into what led to this unfortunate accident," stated a spokesperson from the Grand Junction Police Department.
As emergency crews work diligently to clear debris and reopen affected roads for commuters, motorists are advised to seek alternative routes until further notice.
