A tragic incident occurred in Riverside early Thursday morning, resulting in the death of a construction worker who was struck by a semi-truck in a construction zone on Westbound U.S. 35. According to Major Matthew Sturgeon from the Riverside Police, authorities were alerted to the crash just before 4 a.m., near the Woodman Drive overpass.
The only individual injured in this unfortunate event was the construction worker, who unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. At present, their identity has not been disclosed.
