Cortlandt Manor Man Dies in SUV Crash in Carmel

A tragic accident occurred in Carmel, New York on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a Cortlandt Manor man. The incident took place on Route 301 near Gipsy Trail Road when the SUV driven by Andrew Pesavento, 35, collided with a utility pole and overturned.
The Carmel Police Department received a distress call at approximately 4:04 p.m., prompting their immediate response to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered Pesavento unconscious and unresponsive inside the vehicle. It was evident that he had suffered severe internal injuries as a result of the crash.
Emergency services were quickly mobilized to assist with extricating Pesavento from the wreckage and providing necessary medical attention. The Carmel Fire Department, Carmel Volunteer Ambulance, and Empress EMS personnel all played crucial roles in these efforts. Once stabilized, Pesavento was rushed to Putnam Hospital Center for further treatment.
Tragically, despite everyone's best efforts, Pesavento succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His passing has left friends and family devastated by this sudden loss.
