Crash Closes Part of Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs

A crash on Tuesday afternoon resulted in the closure of a section of Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs. The affected area is between Commerce Center Drive and I-25, causing inconvenience for motorists.
According to an entry on the online police blotter, the incident occurred when a car traveling westbound on Woodmen Road collided with an unmarked vehicle belonging to a detective from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). The impact caused the first car to roll multiple times, leading to the ejection of its driver from the vehicle.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and both drivers involved were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. At this time, there is no information available regarding their injuries.
As of our last update, Woodmen Road remains closed while authorities work diligently to clear up debris and investigate further. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until normal traffic flow can be restored.
