A crash on I-10 in Jackson County, Mississippi caused congestion on Monday morning. The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of the interstate, beyond MS 609 S / Ocean Springs Exit 50. According to Cal Robertson from the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the crash involved two passenger vehicles and took place around 4:30 a.m. Unfortunately, one of the drivers sustained life-threatening injuries.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) reported traffic congestion on their map for approximately two hours after the incident. The congestion affected the westbound lanes past the exit, extending halfway to the next interchange.
