Eleven Children and Adult Injured in Crash Involving Bus and Car

Eleven children and an adult were rushed to the hospital on Monday morning following a collision involving a bus. According to Maryland State Police, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. at Emmorton Road and Bel Air South Parkway when a bus collided with a car.
The injured children, who were traveling in a KinderCare 15-passenger mini-bus, were immediately taken to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air for treatment. Meanwhile, both the car's driver and a one-year-old child were transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the bus was heading north on Emmorton Road while the car was traveling south. The driver of the car attempted to make a left turn onto Laurel Bush Road but ended up crossing into the path of the oncoming bus.
In response to this unfortunate incident, a representative from KinderCare released a statement expressing gratitude that none of the children sustained serious injuries. However, as per paramedics' advice, all students were taken to local hospitals for evaluation as precautionary measures. Fortunately, two children have already been discharged and returned under their care.
The spokesperson also extended appreciation towards local law enforcement and emergency personnel for their prompt response during this distressing situation.
As investigations continue into this crash between a bus carrying young students and another vehicle near Bel Air South Parkway intersection earlier today; authorities are hopeful that all those involved will soon be reunited with their loved ones.
