Crash Involving Mail Truck in Haddam Under Investigation

Connecticut State Police are currently investigating a crash that occurred in Haddam on Thursday, involving a mail truck. The incident took place on Saybrook Road near the border between Haddam and Higganum. Upon receiving the report, the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company promptly responded to the scene.

According to witnesses, a car veered across the center line and collided with the mail truck before coming to a halt in a nearby wooded area. The driver of the car managed to free themselves from their vehicle and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
