Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles Closes Northbound Lane of U.S. 1 in Key Largo

A multi-vehicle crash caused the closure of the northbound lane of U.S. 1, leading out of the Florida Keys, for approximately an hour on Wednesday evening, as reported by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred at mile marker 107, which is situated at the Jewfish Creek Bridge, the gateway to Key Largo, and the 18 Mile Stretch, the section of U.S. 1 that connects the Keys to Florida City on the mainland.
The sheriff's office issued an alert stating that at least one person was injured in the crash. The Florida Department of Transportation camera footage showed a long line of cars and trucks almost at a standstill approaching the southern end of the bridge. The northbound traffic was reopened around 7 p.m., according to the sheriff's office.
