Tow Truck Driver Injured in Crash in West Earl Township

A serious crash took place in West Earl Township, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, September 20th. The incident occurred on Route 222 North at the entrance ramp for Route 222 North and Route 772 (Brownstown Entrance / Exit Ramps). According to the West Earl Township Police, officers were dispatched to the scene around 2:56 p.m. on September 19th.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered that the crash involved a tow truck driver and a sedan. Sadly, the tow truck driver sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was immediately transported to Lancaster General Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the sedan driver remained at the scene while police conducted their investigation into what caused this unfortunate accident. As part of their investigative process, law enforcement closed down the ramp so they could thoroughly examine and document evidence from the scene.
The ongoing investigation is being led by both West Earl Township Police and members of the Lancaster County Crash Team. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward and assist them in their efforts.
