Michal Black Killed in Anderson County Crash

Driver of car killed, truck driver not injured
The Anderson County coroner and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly crash that occurred near the intersection of Welcome Road and Alliance Parkway. According to Brad Hart, the Piercetown fire chief, crews were dispatched just before 7 p.m. on Monday evening after a car collided with a tanker truck.
State troopers have reported that "a car crossed the centerline, causing the collision." Tragically, Michal Black, 22 years old from Williamston, S.C., was killed in the crash. The driver of the tanker truck did not sustain any injuries.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine what caused Black's vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic. Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
