Deadly Crash Closes I-10 West in Lake Charles

I-10 West is closed at the I-210 split going toward Westlake after a deadly crash, according to state police.
According to state police, a deadly crash occurred at milepost 33 on I-10 West in Lake Charles, Louisiana. As a result of the accident, I-10 West is closed at the I-210 split going towards Westlake. The on-ramp at Hwy 171 is also closed and traffic at milepost 34 is being diverted to 210 West. Congestion has reached up to two miles and drivers are advised to use an alternate route until further notice.
The cause of the accident and any details about those involved have not been released by authorities as of this writing.
