Hillhouse and Nelson were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. Nelson was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Responds to Fatal Crash in Dunklin County

On Wednesday, May 17th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash that occurred at approximately 11:11 a.m. on U.S. Highway 412 at Hwy NN, just four miles east of Kennett, Missouri.

According to the MSHP crash report, Shane Hillhouse of Kennett was driving a semi-truck southbound when he failed to yield to another semi driven by Kevin Nelson of Holcomb, MO who was driving eastbound.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. Unfortunately, Nelson was pronounced dead at the hospital and it has been reported that he was not wearing his seat belt during the time of the accident.

The investigation is still ongoing and further details have yet to be released regarding this tragic incident.
