Deadly Crash Involving 10 Cars on I-10 Freeway in Upland Leaves One Dead

At least one person has died and several others were injured in a massive car crash that involved 10 vehicles on the I-10 Freeway in Upland on Sunday night. The San Bernardino County Fire Department officials stated that the accident occurred on both sides of the freeway, just west of Euclid Avenue.
The first calls about the incident came at around 8:09 p.m., reporting an accident involving multiple cars on the westbound side of the freeway. Shortly after, another call was made to report additional vehicles involved in a crash on the eastbound side. Some victims required extrication from their cars.
It is still unclear what caused this deadly collision; however, as many as six other people, including children, have been reported injured. Three individuals were taken to hospitals - one with life-threatening injuries and two with non-life-threatening injuries.
The authorities partially closed down parts of I-10 so they could transport patients safely to nearby hospitals for treatment.
As per reports from San Bernardino County Fire Department officials just before 10 p.m., all patients had been transported.
