Fatal Crash Involving Semi Truck and Volkswagen Beetle

Victim pronounced dead at the scene
Two southbound lanes on the 405 Freeway in Sepulveda Pass have been closed following a deadly crash that occurred on Thursday morning. The accident involved a semi truck and a Volkswagen Beetle near Bel Air, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a call at 4:42 a.m. reporting the incident on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway at North Mulholland Drive. Upon arrival, CHP officers discovered both vehicles with significant damage on the side of the freeway.
Unfortunately, the victim's identity, including their name, gender, and age remains unknown. Tragically, they were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
In order to conduct a thorough investigation into the crash, all southbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed by CHP officials. However, approximately an hour later some lanes were reopened to alleviate traffic congestion.
