Jose Uoa Killed in Miller, Missouri Tanker Truck and SUV Crash

One person died and another was injured.
The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred near Miller, Missouri. According to the Highway Patrol crash report, the accident involved an SUV and a tanker truck carrying 8,000 gallons of fuel.
The incident took place at around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 96 and Route 97 in Lawrence County. The collision resulted in the closure of westbound lanes on Route 96.
Investigators say that Jose Uoa from Carthage, Missouri was driving his car when he crossed over into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the tanker truck. Unfortunately, Uoa did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tanker truck sustained injuries during this tragic event and was taken to a hospital located in Carthage for medical attention. A second tanker truck arrived on-site to transport away all remaining fuel from the crashed vehicle.
