Fatal Crash on LA 441 in Holden, Louisiana

One person killed, two others with severe injuries
Louisiana State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday evening before 8 p.m. The incident took place on LA 441 in Holden, Louisiana. According to authorities, a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle was traveling northbound on LA 441 when it failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. As a result, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Tragically, three individuals were ejected from the car during the collision and one of them lost their life. The deceased victim has been identified as James Ard, aged 22 and hailing from Holden. It was determined that Ard was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and succumbed to his injuries.
Additionally, two other occupants who were also not wearing seatbelts sustained severe injuries in the crash. At this point in time, investigators have yet to determine who was driving the vehicle during the incident. Consequently, an ongoing investigation is being conducted by authorities.
The Louisiana State Police urge all motorists to prioritize their safety by ensuring they wear their seatbelts while operating or riding in vehicles. Seatbelts play a crucial role in preventing serious injuries or fatalities during accidents.
