Fatal Crash in Noblesville: Nicole Townley Killed in Two-Car Collision

One fatality, one non-life-threatening injury
Officials from the Noblesville Police Department have provided details about a fatal car crash that occurred on Monday morning, resulting in the closure of a highway. According to a news release issued by the department, officers were called to the 19900 block of SR 37 at approximately 8:03 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered two vehicles involved in the collision, each with one occupant.
Both drivers sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Preliminary information suggests that one vehicle was traveling northbound on SR37 while the other was heading southbound. It appears that the northbound vehicle may have crossed into oncoming traffic as SR37 transitions from a four-lane divided highway to a two-lane road.
Tragically, Nicole Townley, aged 44 and from Noblesville, lost her life due to injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the second vehicle, a 39-year-old woman also from Noblesville, was airlifted to Indianapolis for treatment but is expected to survive.
The Noblesville Police Department's crash reconstruction unit has been dispatched to investigate further details surrounding this incident. As part of their response efforts, southbound traffic on SR37 has been redirected onto Promise Road while northbound traffic is being diverted onto 191st Street.
The closure remained in effect until approximately 11:30 a.m., causing significant disruption during this period.
