One Person Dead, Another Injured in Huntingdon County Crash

One person died and another was injured.
The Huntingdon County coroner was dispatched to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 453, resulting in the closure of almost eight miles of roadway. The accident involved a tri-axle truck and an SUV near the county line between Blair and Huntingdon Counties. Emergency crews from both counties were called to respond at around 7:00 am.
According to reports from Blair County Emergency Dispatch, one person sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment while another individual lost their life in the collision. No further details have been released regarding the condition of others involved.
State police are currently investigating the incident, but no information has been provided yet about what may have caused it. A detour has been established on Route 453 as authorities work to clear up debris from the accident site.
