Delaware Woman Gina M. Diloreto Killed in Crash with Semi-Trailer Truck in Troy Township

A tragic accident occurred on Friday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 44-year-old woman from Delaware. The incident took place at approximately 1:52 p.m. on U.S. 23 near Township Road 279 in Troy Township.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, Gina M. Diloreto was driving her Honda Accord eastbound on TR-279 when she failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a southbound Freightliner Cascadia semi-trailer truck.
Diloreto was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the driver of the truck, a 44-year-old man from Columbus, remained uninjured.
Police confirmed that both drivers were wearing their seatbelts during the collision and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this tragedy.
The investigation into this fatal accident is still ongoing and being handled by Ohio State Highway Patrol.
