A tragic incident occurred near the La. 108 westbound ramp on I-10 in Vinton, Louisiana. According to one report, the driver's body was recovered from a canal after their car crashed into the water.
Vinton Police Chief Scott Spell confirmed that "a silver or gray car was pulled from the canal." The identity of the driver has not been released yet.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit is assisting with the investigation and recovery efforts. As of now, the exit ramp remains closed.
