Three People Injured in Phoenix Medical Office Building Crash

A driver crashed into a medical office building in north Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in three people being rushed to the hospital. The incident occurred at a dialysis center located at 19th and Dunlap avenues just before 1 p.m.
According to Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller, the driver, who was a dialysis patient herself, was heading to her treatment when she unexpectedly drove through the entire building and collided with the back wall. As a result of this collision, three individuals sitting near the entrance were struck by the vehicle.
Authorities have reported that both a man and woman in their 40s are currently in critical condition along with another woman in her 30s. However, all three victims are expected to survive based on information provided by local police. The driver did not require hospitalization.
As repairs will be necessary for North Phoenix Dialysis due to the damage caused, patients will need to seek treatment at an alternate facility until the repairs are completed. Fire crews will be assessing the extent of the damage in order to determine how soon the facility can reopen.
Phoenix Police are currently investigating what led up to this crash and whether or not the driver experienced a medical emergency. The investigation remains ongoing.
