Driver Crashes into Washington State Department of Transportation Truck

No crews were injured. Driver of the sedan transported to hospital for leg pains.
On Tuesday, July 18, a driver crashed into a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) truck on US 12 Highway near Pasco. The incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. while WSDOT crews were performing a mobile mowing job.
The mobile mowing truck had strobe lights and signs indicating that there was work ahead. Despite these warnings, a sedan collided with the back of the WSDOT truck.
Thankfully, no crew members were injured in the accident. However, the driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital due to leg pains.
This incident serves as a reminder for residents that roadwork increases during summertime due to favorable weather conditions. With more construction taking place on roads across Washington state, it is crucial for drivers to remain vigilant and travel safely.
