Driver in Critical Condition After Fiery Crash on Atlantic City Expressway
A driver is in critical condition after a fiery crash on the Atlantic City Expressway in Sicklerville, New Jersey. The crash occurred just after 1 a.m. on Friday in the eastbound lanes of the expressway.
According to the police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, went down an embankment, and the vehicle caught fire. Rescue crews had to pull the driver out of the burning car. The driver suffered 2nd- and 3rd-degree burns and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The eastbound lanes of the expressway were closed in the area overnight, but traffic is now getting by the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
