Driver in Critical Condition After Pickup Truck Crashes into Tree

Late Monday night, a pickup truck driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after crashing into a tree, according to San Antonio police. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on McCarty Road, near San Pedro Avenue and North Star Mall on the city's North Side.
Authorities reported that the driver of the truck collided with a tree and had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters. Fortunately, there were no passengers inside and no other vehicles involved in the crash.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) promptly transported the injured driver to University Hospital for treatment. The individual's identity and age have not been disclosed at this time.
The San Antonio Police Department, along with assistance from the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS personnel, swiftly responded to the scene following reports of the accident.
