Driver Dies in Car Accident on Six Mile Post Road in Franklin County, Virginia

VSP is continuing to investigate the incident.
Virginia State Police reported a fatal car accident that occurred on June 12 in Franklin County. The incident took place on Six Mile Post Road, near Pepper Road, and involved three vehicles. According to the police report, a Chevrolet traveling east allegedly ran off the roadway and hit two vehicles traveling west.
Tragically, one of the drivers traveling west died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet fled on foot but was later apprehended by authorities.
The Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation into this incident.
