Driver Injured in Car Crash on State Road 1 in DEKALB COUNTY, Ind.

A driver sustained injuries on Monday morning after a car collided with his truck on State Road 1 in DeKalb County, Indiana. The incident occurred in the 6400 block of SR 1, prompting a response from officers with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department at approximately 8 a.m.
According to authorities present at the scene, it was determined that the driver of a Pontiac G6, aged 23, had attempted to overtake a Ford F-150 by passing it on the left while the truck was making a left turn onto CR 64. As a result of this maneuver, the Pontiac struck the Ford during its turn.
The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles involved. The truck's driver, who is reported to be 65 years old, suffered possible head or neck injuries and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the driver of the car.
