Driver injured after pickup truck crashes in Jones County

A driver was injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday, June 4th at around 5:30 am on Highway 184 in Jones County. According to officials with the Jones County Fire Council, firefighters arrived at the scene to find a pickup truck lying on its side. The driver had non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was entrapped and had to be extracted from the vehicle through the windshield by firefighters using extrication tools. Reports suggest that the truck left the road, hit a culvert and flipped during the crash.
The injured driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Responding agencies included The Jones County Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP).
