Driver killed in crash with Duke Energy truck

Driver died, Duke Energy truck driver not injured
Late Monday night, a driver died after colliding with a Duke Energy truck on Six Forks Road near Sandy Forks Road in Raleigh. According to the Raleigh Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 11:55 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, police discovered that a white sedan traveling southbound had hit the back of a Duke Energy truck that had pulled over to investigate a power outage in the area. The driver of the sedan was transported to hospital by EMS but unfortunately passed away as a result of their injuries sustained during the crash. The driver of the Duke Energy truck was unharmed.
As investigations continue, Six Forks Road has been closed off in both directions until further notice. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is urged to visit Crimestoppers or call 919-996-1193.
