Driver Rescued After Car Nearly Falls Off 605 Freeway in Irwindale

A driver had a close call on the 605 Freeway early Sunday morning when their car nearly fell off the road. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in Irwindale, just north of Arrow Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), officers were called to the scene after receiving reports of an accident involving a black sedan. Upon arrival, they discovered that the rear of the vehicle was hanging over the edge of the freeway, with the car overturned on its roof.
Firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene and took immediate action to secure the precarious situation. They attached a tow line to stabilize and prevent further movement of the car before assisting in rescuing the driver from danger.
The driver was then transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. At this time, their condition remains unknown.
Authorities are currently investigating what caused this alarming crash on one of Southern California's busiest freeways. Determining factors such as speed, weather conditions, or potential mechanical issues will be taken into consideration during their investigation.
