Dump Truck Accident on Highway 136 in Princeton: Gerald J. Hostetler Injured

On Monday morning, November 27, 2023, an accident involving a dump truck occurred on Highway 136 near its intersection with Highway 65 in Princeton. The incident resulted in minor injuries to the driver.
The driver of the dump truck was identified as Gerald J. Hostetler, a 76-year-old man from Trenton, Missouri. He was driving a 2015 Mack dump truck westbound on Highway 136 when the accident happened. As he approached the intersection with Highway 65, the truck veered off the north side of the road and collided with a highway sign.
After hitting the sign, the truck crossed over Highway 65 and went off the west side of the road. It then went down an embankment before coming to rest upright and facing north.
Fortunately, Hostetler was wearing his seat belt at the time of impact and only sustained minor injuries. He was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment by private vehicle.
The dump truck suffered minor damage in this incident and had to be towed away from the scene by Bridgemans.
In response to this accident, both Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and Trooper B.N. Raney arrived at the scene to investigate further details surrounding this incident.
