A dump truck crash in southeast Lincoln caused a traffic delay and sent one person to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 3:40 p.m. when Lincoln Fire and Rescue received a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a pole at the intersection of South 56th Street and Old Cheney Road.

The cleanup process took several hours, causing drivers to avoid the area as advised by the Lincoln Police Department via Twitter. As of now, it is unclear how severe the injuries sustained by the victim are, but they were taken to hospital for treatment.
