Dump Truck Crashes into Parked Cars and Residence

A dump truck belonging to the City of Buffalo Parks Department collided with multiple parked cars and a residence on Sunday morning, city officials have announced. The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m. as the dump truck was traveling southbound on Niagara Street near the intersection with Austin Street.
Eyewitnesses reported that the dump truck, which had a trailer carrying a lawn mower attached to it, veered off the roadway and crashed into several parked cars, a street light, and eventually slammed into a residence. Officials have stated that there is "possible structural damage" to the home as a result of the impact. It appears that the cars involved were located in a parking lot associated with a used car dealership.
Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene, and paramedics transported the driver of the dump truck to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the accident.
Authorities are currently investigating what caused this unfortunate incident involving city property. Further details regarding potential factors contributing to this crash remain unknown at this time.
