Dump Truck Driver Roger Hamilton Killed in Collision with Semi in Town of Washington

Dump truck driver died, other driver not injured
The Sauk County Sheriff's Office has identified the Lone Rock man who tragically lost his life in a collision between a dump truck and a semi in the Town of Washington. The victim, Roger Hamilton, was driving east on Wis. Hwy. 154 around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer at the intersection with Wis. Hwy. 130.
According to the statement released by the Sheriff's Office, both vehicles were toppled as a result of the impact, and several power lines were knocked down during the incident.
While it is known that Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene, no injuries were reported for the driver of the semi from Coral Gables, Florida. Furthermore, there were no other individuals present in either vehicle at the time of this tragic accident.
The investigation into this collision is currently ongoing and being jointly conducted by both local authorities from Sauk County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
