One Injured in Early Morning Vernon Vehicle Crash

An early morning police pursuit in Huntington Park ended up with a vehicle crash in Vernon, leaving one person injured. The incident occurred at Santa Fe Avenue and 38th Street, where one of the cars involved was smashed up on a fence.
Vernon police arrived at the scene and reported that Huntington Park Police were handling the situation, but it ended up falling under their jurisdiction around 6:30 a.m. Los Angeles County Fire crews also arrived shortly after at 6:45 a.m., and transported one person to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash caused significant traffic delays during the morning commute as authorities worked to clear the area.
