Falmouth Department of Public Works Employee Dies in Single-Vehicle Accident

A tragic incident occurred in Falmouth, MA on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a Falmouth Department of Public Works employee. According to officials, the accident involved a single-vehicle crash on Davisville Road.
The authorities were alerted to the scene at 2:19 p.m., prompting an immediate response from both the Falmouth Police Department and Falmouth Fire Rescue Department. The vehicle involved was identified as a pick-up truck belonging to the Department of Public Works.
Preliminary reports indicate that the driver was traveling northbound on Davisville Road when, for reasons yet unknown, the truck veered off course and collided with a tree. Tragically, there were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the male driver to Falmouth Hospital with critical injuries. However, despite their best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
In light of this devastating event, authorities have launched an investigation into what caused this fatal crash. The responsibility for determining how this tragedy unfolded falls upon members of the Falmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team.
Following standard procedure during such investigations, Davisville Road had to be temporarily closed for approximately one hour following yesterday's incident.
