One person dead, another with non-life-threatening injuries

Lincoln, Nebraska - A fatal accident occurred early Saturday morning at the intersection of south 56th and A streets.

Lincoln police were dispatched to the scene at 4:13 a.m. where they found that two vehicles had collided.

Tragically, one driver was pronounced dead on-site. The deceased has been identified as a male from Lincoln. The other driver involved in the crash is also a male from Lincoln and is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and it's expected that the intersection will remain closed for some time while investigations continue.
